PB CHOC SMOOTHIE

With the goodness of our healthy Tropeaka Proteins, peanut butter and delicious dates this is a breakfast you'll be looking forward to waking up for!

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 frozen bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • Handful of ice
  • 3 pitted Medjool dates, soaked for easier blending
  • 2 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp carob, cocoa powder, or Tropeaka Cacao
  • 1 tbsp Tropeaka Vanilla or Chocolate Lean Protein (can substitute for Pump Protein)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Dash of cinnamon
  • Chocolate sauce ingredients: 1 tbsp rice malt syrup, 1/2-1 tbsp Tropeaka Cacao, water

Optional Ingredients:

  • Your favourite toppings e.g. frozen berries, figs, goji berries, crushed nuts, shredded coconut etc

METHOD

  1. Add rice malt syrup and Tropeaka Cacao into a small bowl. Gradually add in water and whisk well until you reach a thin sauce like consistency. (Use 1/2 tbsp cacao for a sweeter/less rich sauce or 1 tbsp for a stronger chocolate taste)
  2. Add in the remaining smoothie ingredients into a blender and blend for a few minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Using a small teaspoon, drizzle the chocolate sauce along the sides of a mason jar.
  4. Pour in the smoothie and top with a few roasted peanuts or some dark chocolate if desired. Enjoy!
